\u010ciurlionis House is located in Savi\u010diaus street 11, in Vilnius, where Mikalojus Konstantinas \u010ciurlionis, one of the greatest artist of Lithuania, lived in 1907-1908. \u010ciurlionis House is opening the exhibition and launching cycles of events to celebrate 110th<\/sup> anniversary of the Lithuanian Art Society.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lithuanian Art Society was established in Vilnius on 15th<\/sup> September in 1907 m. This group of Lithuanian artist was important not just because it influenced \u010ciurlionis decision to stay and create in Vilnius, but also this Society was greatly important while building national identity, awakening cultural self-consciousness and inspiring nation for aspirations to seek statehood. \u010ciurlionis actively joined Society since the establishment of it \u2013 he presented his work during the first Society\u2019s exhibition, he organized the second one, he also contributed to creating and defining statutes, goals and activities of Society, created musicians section in it and was the first one to promise to give all his artwork to museums in Lithuania.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n \u010ciurlionis House in partnership with Lithuania Art Museum, National M. K. \u010ciurlionis Art Museum, Lithuanian Literature and Art Archive, collector dr. Jaunius Gumbys, M. and J. \u0160lapeliai House-Museum is presenting an exhibition of M. K. \u010ciurlionis, A. \u017dmuidzinavi\u010dius, K. Stabrauskas, P. Kalpokas, A. Jaro\u0161evi\u010dius, T. Daugirdas, A. Staneika, K. \u0160kl\u0117rius art work. Also unique and never shown documents of Lithuanian Art Society which allows to fully understand and explain the goals and importance of this Society for Lithuania.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Exhibition can be visited from 14th<\/sup> September to 15th<\/sup> November at \u010ciurlionis House.<\/strong> Exhibition will be followed by series of cultural events which will explore history, culture of the last century and influence of Society to nowadays Lithuania.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n During the opening night of the exhibition on September 14th<\/sup>,<\/strong> for the first time ever, \u010ciurlionis song for vocal and piano \u201eThoughtful Angels\u201c will be performed by soprano Ona Kolobovait\u0117 and pianist Justas \u0160ervenikas.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u010ciurlionis birthday on September 22nd<\/sup><\/strong> will be celebrated with the presentation of the book \u201e\u010ciurlionis House In Vilnius\u201c. Book is collection of V. Landsbergis, R. Bukaveckien\u0117, N. Gaidauskien\u0117 articles and three R. Markeli\u016bnas documentary movies about epoch \u010ciurlionis lived in and importance of \u010ciurlionis for nowadays Lithuania. Evening will be brightened by performance of \u010ciurlionis music by ensemble \u201eRegnum musicale\u201c- Joana Daunyt\u0117 (harp), Vita Marija Daunyt\u0117 (flute), Kotryna Ugn\u0117 Daunyt\u0117 (violin), Elena Daunyt\u0117 (cello).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n On October 7th<\/sup> <\/strong>the afternoon for gourmands of history and culture is planned. Visitors will have opportunity to meet prof. Egidijus Aleksandravi\u010dius, who will give a lecture \u201cArt and Artists Friendship During XIX Century\u2019s Spring of the Nations\u201d. Afterwards, visitors will be invited to enjoy new concert program \u201eMikalojus Konstantinas \u010ciurlionis and Eugenij Morawski: Friends in the\u00a0 Crossroad of History\u201c performed by pianists Sonata and Rokas Zubovai and soprano Au\u0161ra Liutkut\u0117. This concert will be the first opportunity to listen of Eugenijus Morawskis piano composition in Vilnius.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Many creative aspirations of \u010ciurlionis were never finished and stayed in sketches. This way \u010ciurlionis created an opportunity of nowadays musicians to continue his music tradition. On October 25th<\/sup><\/strong> at \u010ciurlionis House, young artists Dmitrij Golovanov and Jan Maksimowicz invites listeners to \u010ciurlionis music improvisations evening \u201cM. K. \u010ciurlionio sketches\u201d.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Event cycle will be closed with extraordinary concert at Vilnius City Hall on November 21th.<\/strong> Concert will be dedicated to Gabrielius Landsbergis-\u017demkalnis, who established \u201cKankl\u0117s\u201c society, which\u2019s choir was led by M. K. \u010ciurlionis, who directed many plays and wrote libretto for first Lithuanian opera \u201cBirut\u0117\u201c (composer M. Petrauskas). Evening will be greeted by speeches of prof.,Viktorija Daujotyt\u0117, prof. Vytautas Landsbergis.
