Tytuvėnai Festival, together with the M. K. Čiurlionis House and the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society, invites you to celebrate the birthday of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. On 20 September, at the National Philharmonic Concert Hall the music of the Lithuanian genius will be interpreted by the world-renowned pianist Dmitri Levkovich.

Levkovich, a Ukrainian-born artist living in Canada, has two vocations: pianist and composer. He studied piano with the legendary Armenian pianist Sergei Babayan, and composition at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. On 1 April 2023, we had the opportunity to hear Levkovich’s Fantasia performed at the National Philharmonic Concert Hall by his wife, pianist Agnė Radzevičiūtė, and the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Robertas Šervenikas. Levkovich has performed in concert halls around the world, including New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Théâtre des Champs Elysees in Paris, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the National Centre for Performing Arts in Beijing, and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Hall in Lisbon.

The pianist has won numerous international competitions in Germany, China, Portugal, Italy and the USA, was awarded audience and special prizes, including the Best Performance of works by Fryderyk Chopin. In this concert, Levkovich will perform all four of Chopin’s ballads and Mozart’s Sonata No. 10 in C major, KV 330 alongside music by Čiurlionis.
